You must demonstrate :
The umpire: Successfully completes an annual hearing test by a qualified audiologist

ICC requires umpires to undergo annual testing by a professional audiologist to ensure that their hearing is healthy and of the high standard needed for umpiring international cricket.

The results from the audiologist are sent directly to ICC.

The umpire: successfully completes an annual hearing test by a qualified optometrist

ICC requires umpires to undergo annual testing by a professional optometrist to ensure that their eyesight is healthy and of the high standard needed for umpiring international cricket.

The results from the optometrist are sent directly to ICC.
