2.1 Planning and Goal Setting

You must successfully demonstrate:
That you can work productively with ICC coaches in order to continue to improve your skills and competencies.

ICC has appointed coaches to support you. A major aspect of this support is the role of the coach in facilitating discussions on preparation and performance.

This is collaboration between you and your coach.

That you can successfully complete an Annual Plan and set Personal Goals.

In order to sustain personal, continuous improvement ICC requires you to discuss your annual planning and goal setting with your coach.

After consultation you are required to submit your plans and goals to your coach, using SMART (see Tournament Preparation Guide) targets.

Thorough and professional preparation prior to a series/match.

ICC requires umpires to plan for a series/match in a thorough and professional manner.

Umpires need to be specific about those areas they need to develop – in order to continuously improve.
